That time of the year has arrived, where everyone who loves Pisco Sours rejoice. If you don’t know what Pisco Sour is, you are missing out! Pisco Sour is Peru’s flagship cocktail and as it name states is made with PISCO, a Peruvian spirit made out of grapes. Pisco is the main ingredient of a Pisco Sour (duh!) and is mixed with lime, egg whites, syrup or sugar, ice.
Since us Peruvians LOVE to celebrate everything, we created an international Pisco Sour Day (Yes,we did!), which is celebrated every first Saturday of February. Luckily, the team at the Trade Commission of Peru in NYC rolled out a Pisco Sour campaign named #PiscoSourWeek, and gathered several restaurants and bars across NYC to join the festivities and give us all Pisco Sour drink specials!
In order to join the festivities, Chef Magaly Ponce and I made our way to Williamsburg, Brooklyn and visited our friends at LLAMA INN, a trendy Peruvian restaurant with a very creative food and drink menu.
