It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas in NYC
December 4, 2013My first #5k
December 8, 2013You guys know how much I love Pisco! My relationship with the Peruvian flagship spirit started not too long ago, it was exactly when I moved from Peru, definitely very ironic. Whenever I go out for drinks or have a get together at a house, I drink Pisco to reminisce all those wonderful memories of my life in Peru. Whether it’s Pisco Sour, Mojaditas (a.k.a Pisco Mojito), Chilcano or by itself, trust me if you haven’t tried it, you will love it!
Peruvian Pisco is making its work up to become a popular alcoholic beverage around the world. The New York Times mentioned on an article in 2011 “PISCO, the clear grape spirit of South America, is emerging from the mist of history and bringing rich freshness to cocktails. In New York and other cities, liquor stores and bars that carried no Pisco a few years ago have several now and are adding more, making it the fastest-growing spirit in the country.”
For the past 5 years while living in New York City, I’ve attended multiple events, where Pisco companies are trying to expose not only their brand but most importantly, Pisco. I really get excited when I go somewhere and see Pisco in the drinks menu, it’s an amazing feeling to see how little by little our Peruvian product is becoming popular.
It’s important to educate the consumer and the places where Pisco is sold, from distributors, to restaurants and bars, so it finally gets the recognition it deserves. With that said, I would like to invite you to join me next Tuesday 10th to a Pisco Party the people from Latin Lover Food & Magazine is hosting at Cantina Royal in Brooklyn.
So if you are in NYC, I hope to see you there, you can get your tickets in the following link: http://www.eventbrite.com/e/pisco-party-tickets-7988029411?aff=efbevent
