September 17, 2013My boyfriend has been talking about Dylan’s Candy Bar for so long and how we should include this place in one of our weekend plans. So last weekend, we did. He loves candy and gummy bears and I’m a chocolate fan, so it was definitely a fascinating experience to be part of. I’m not exaggerating, if you love sweets you must come to this place.
The three story place is like a parallel universe for all those sweet tooth inhabitants of this city. As soon as you get in, you will be amazed of what you can find there: a broad variety of candy and chocolate such as your favorite candy brands and even products that are not sold anymore in regular stores. I’m not going to lie when I tell you, I felt like and kid by seeings brands that I haven’t seen in ages, it brought so many memories from my childhood. Oh, and got even more excited when I found a 12 pound giant gummy bear (they have it in all flavors!).
In the first level you will find different types of candy (old school and your all time favorites), also you will have a chocolate dispenser and a fudge bar (tried one of these, they are very good).
In the second level you will find Dylan’s Candy Bar’s candies, as well the brand’s souvenirs (get a shirt or a chocolate bar with your name!). For those who like savory things, you can buy a chocolate bar bacon flavor! You will also find the Girl’s Scout Cookies, which I’m a big fan of.
In the third level, you can enjoy a big cone of ice cream at their shop and lounge around their seating area. There’s also a dessert stations where you can get macaroons of different flavors and other popular dessert options.
As you can see, this place is not only for kids, but also for adults who love candy and chocolates as much as I do 😉
Ps: Don’t forget to bring your camera, you will be snapping pictures left and right!.
