April 28, 2014Ceviche at the beach
August 13, 2014To continue Peruvian “Fiestas Patrias” festivities, yesterday the Trade Commission of Peru in New York unveiled its latest initiative: a campaign to promote the consumption of Peruvian ceviche in New York. More than 30 restaurants from New York and New Jersey are participating in #CevicheSummer @NYC, and yesterday 7 of them delighted us with an AH-mazing ceviche tasting at the offices of the Commercial Office.
Manka, Lima 33, La Cevicheria, Cevich, Runa, Cucharamama and Raymi, showcased different types of ceviche for members of press to enjoy. Director of Trade Commission of Peru in NY, Conrado Falco, mentioned that this campaign borned from the desire to continue educating New Yorkers about the diversity and exquisiteness of Peruvian cuisine. He believes Peruvian ceviche is the perfect dish for this hot summer, and we completely agree.
Peruvian cuisine has gained major recognition in the lat years, winning awards as Best Culinary Destination in 2012 and 2013, and let’s not forget that two Peruvian restaurants ranked 15 and 18 in the World’s 50 Best Restaurants.
With that said, I encouraged you to visit one of these restaurants and enjoy a deilcious Peruvian Ceviche, don’t forget to take pictures and use #CevicheSummer.
